Martha S. Barga, age 96, died at Versailles 6:30 AM In Tuesday, June 23, 2009 Versailles Health Care Center. Martha was born September 2, 1912 in County Darke, Ohio, until the late Charles and Magdalena (Lachat) Didier.

Martha was the homemaker and previously worked for Buckeye generally in Versailles. She is a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Fleur de Versailles.

In addition to his parents, Martha is also preceded by the death of her husband, Lowell F. "Chicken" Barga at 8 November 1995; son of Jacques J. Barga; great grandchildren, Doug and Christopher Condon; brothers, Clarence, Leonard and Bernard Didier, and sister, Stella Osterloh, Josephine Huelskamp, Myrtle Byers and Wilma Wirrig.


Martha left her sons and daughters in law, James and Laura Barga Colon, Michigan, Michael and Mary Barga Versailles and Dennis and Nina Barga Versailles; daughters and sons in law, Robert and Fred Condon of Versailles, and Marilyn and Robert Schockman St. Henry, daughter-in-law , Marilyn Barga Versailles, 24 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, sister Rose Byers of Piqua, and sister-in-law, Evelyn and Jerome Alig from Portland, Indiana.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, with the Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made at Versailles and emergency care, or Versailles Health Care Center Activity Department or the Department of Physical Therapy.
